All articles published in the Journal of Urban Science Education (JUSE) remain the copyright of the authors or the original copyright holders unless otherwise stated in writing. By submitting a manuscript for publication, authors grant PT. Hikari Research a non-exclusive license to publish, disseminate, and archive the final version of the article on the journal’s platform and publisher-managed distribution channels.

Publication License
By default, published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This license permits third parties to copy, distribute, display, and create derivative works from the articles for both commercial and non-commercial purposes, provided that proper attribution is given to the original authors and the source of publication is cited.

Scope of Rights and Obligations
The CC BY 4.0 license grants readers and researchers broad freedom to reuse content, including data, figures, and tables, provided that clear attribution is given to the author(s), article title, journal name, and DOI or permanent link. Authors retain the moral rights to their work, including the right to be acknowledged as the original authors.

Commercial Use and Modifications
Users who utilize the material for commercial purposes or create derivative works are required to provide appropriate attribution and indicate whether changes have been made. For uses requiring additional licensing beyond the terms of CC BY 4.0, applicants must contact the publisher to negotiate permission.

Deposit and Repositories
Authors are permitted to archive pre-print and final versions of their articles in institutional repositories or other public repositories, provided that a reference to the published version and DOI is included. The publisher will register a DOI for each article and ensure that metadata are available for repository interoperability.

Policy Changes and Retractions
Copyright and licensing policies may be reviewed and updated by the publisher; any changes will be announced on the journal’s policy page. Requests for article retraction will only be considered in cases of proven ethical or legal violations, and any retraction actions will be documented transparently.
